DESCRIPTION:A National Dugnad for Children\, Schools and Families \nThe Royal Gardening Society of Norway is proud to announce the launch of Kongedugnad\, a nationwide initiative that invites schools\, children\, and families to take part in a month-long environmental celebration rooted in the spirit of dugnad. \nThe First Edition of Kongedugnad will take place from April 15 to May 15\, 2026\, and will engage participants in a four-part journey that begins with cleaning and ends in celebration. Along the way\, students will plant seeds\, nurture small gardens\, share stories from their local communities\, and take part in a national movement that blends sustainability with togetherness. \nThe initiative is open to schools\, kindergartens\, and after-school programs across Norway. Participating schools may receive optional planting kits\, and all will be invited to share their progress through the official website. At the end of the edition\, participants will be celebrated through the Royal Gardens Awards for Schools\, which honors creativity\, effort\, and collaboration. \nAlthough launched through a digital platform\, Kongedugnad is grounded in local action and everyday spaces. Whether it’s repainting a sandbox\, planting a pollinator bed\, or telling a class story through pictures and drawings\, each action contributes to a collective movement toward a greener\, more caring society. \n  \nSee Event + \n
